River levels remain high as a result of persistent (heavy) rainfall and rapid snow melt on Saturday 23 November. Whilst levels at Todmorden have started to fall, there is further rain forecast overnight into Sunday morning. Levels may start to rise again, but are not expected to get as high as peak levels on Saturday 23 November. Areas most at risk are Holdroyd Crescent (Warmans). We are monitoring the situation closely. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Consider taking appropriate steps to prepare for possible flooding, such as moving things upstairs and getting flood protection equipment ready to put in place. This message will be updated by 07:00, 24/11/2024, or as the situation changes.

River Calder at Todmorden - Millwood River levels are rising as a result of persistent (heavy) rainfall and rapid snow melt. This rainfall will continue through much of today, Saturday 23 November. Levels at Todmorden are forecast to continue to rise until about 4pm this afternoon. Areas most at risk are Holdroyd Crescent (Warmans). We are monitoring the situation closely.
